Get help paying for your studies at Royal Holloway through a range of scholarships and bursaries.
We award our scholarships competitively, usually based on your academic achievements, as well as your scholarship statement. We also offer a number of scholarships aimed specifically at groups currently underrepresented in higher education. You can apply for as many scholarships as you are eligible for.
Bursaries are awarded to all students who meet the eligibility criteria.

Rising Stars Scholarship
Full tuition fee reduction for three years for students with Home fee status
For students with high grades at A-level or equivalent (including those with contextual offers) and who demonstrable how they strive for excellence within their academic and non-academic achievements. Read more here
Full tuition fee reduction for three years plus a Friendly Hand Bursary of £12,000 per annum

International Future Leaders Scholarship
Tuition fee reduction of £6,000 in first year of study for International students
30 scholarships for International students studying any subject with expected A-level grades of ABB or equivalent, who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills. Find out more here.
Elaine Etherton Scholarship
Tuition fee reduction of £3,500 per year for the first three years of study
Available to students with expected grades of AAA at A-level or equivalent and a family income of less than £25,000. Read more here
Santander Widening Access Scholarship
Cash award of £2,400 in the first year of study
This scholarship is provided by Santander and is available in the first year of study to a student with Home fee status applying for any undergraduate degree course from a group under-represented in higher education. Read more here
Reed Innovation Scholarship
Cash award of £15,000 over three years of undergraduate study
For students with expected grades of AAA at A-level or equivalent, studying any degree and with demonstrable innovative and creative problem solving skills. Read more here.
Barbara Raw Scholarships for English
Cash award of £5,000 for Students studying English with Home fee or International fee status
Available for new undergraduate students studying a selected single or joint honours degree within the Department of English with high A-level grades or equivalent. Read more here.
Barbara Raw English Scholarship for Black UK students
Cash award of £6,000 for black students from the UK with Home fee status
Available to black students from the UK with Home fee status who are expected to achieve high grades at A-level, studying for a degree within the Department of English. Read more here.
Donald Davies Computer Science Scholarship
Cash award of £1,000 in the first year, followed by £500 in the second, third and fourth (for MSci students) years for students with Home/EU/International fee status
Scholarship for new Computer Science students with expected outstanding academic results at A-level or equivalent. Read more here
EU Fee Reduction Scholarship
Fee reduction equivalent to 60% of the difference between the Home fee and International fee for your course
This scholarship is available to eligible EU students who are classified as overseas for fees purposes and are an EU national on 1 September before the start of their course. Find out more.
Cash award of £2,000 over three years for students with Home or International fee status
Available to Physics students with three outstanding A-level grades including Maths and Physics. Read more here

Tuition fee reduction of £3,000 for overseas students studying an International Foundation Year at RHISC
Available to students with overseas fees status currently studying an International Foundation Year at the Royal Holloway International Study Centre (RHISC). Find out more.

Tuition fee reduction of £6,000 for new overseas students
There are two scholarships available to new international students who are currently studying the Royal Holloway BSc Business Administration at an eligible University of London Teaching Centre. Find out more.

For those of you who excel at sports there are sports scholarships available. Each year we offer a range of sports scholarships to students with varying levels of ability from regional players to Olympic hopefuls. The Geospatial Scholarship Fund (external funding)
£10,000 cash award for Black students studying Geography or Geoscience
This is an external scholarship for students with Black or mixed Black heritage who also meet one of the following: qualified for free school meals; young carer; looked-after child; household annual income of less than £18,480. Find out more.

£1,500 cash award for students studying a STEM subject degree

Cash award of £3,000 in each year of study available to students with Home fee status
