International Students

A strong international spirit

With almost a third of our students joining us from outside the UK, and alumni in 165 countries around the world, we are proud to be one of the most international universities in the UK.

A warm welcome

Whoever you are and wherever you are from, our dedicated International Student Recruitment team are here to help you with any questions you have about applying to, and studying at, Royal Holloway. Find out who is responsible for your country/region and get in touch today here.

Qualifications

We accept a broad range of qualifications from many different countries. To find out what qualifications we accept from any particular country, please visit our find your country/region pages. Once you have selected your course and wish to apply, any questions about the application process, fees and funding and accommodation can be found on our Applying pages.

You can find detailed information about our English Language requirements here. We also offer a range of Pre-Sessional English Language Programmes should you not quite meet our requirements.

Our International Study Centre located on our Egham campus also offers a range of foundation pathway programmes such as International Foundation Year, International Year One and a Pre-Masters course to help you onto your desired course at Royal Holloway. Starting the International Year One in January 2021 at the International Study Centre will mean that you are able to progress to the second year of your degree in September 2021.

Explore our campus

We hold a number of open days throughout the year. If you are unable to attend an open day we also offer campus tours which can be self-led or, if you get in touch with your country representative, we will do our best to arrange a tour for you.

If you are unable to visit our campus in person, you can access our virtual experience to see what our beautiful campus and industry-standard facilities have to offer.

International Student Support

Our International Student Support team are available to advise you on visa and immigration information, as well as provide top tips on how to prepare for, and make the most of, your time in the UK, which you can also find in our International Student Handbook.
