Dr. Irena Arslanova, a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway, has been awarded the Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship.  Starting on the 1st of March, she will continue working on her research on the neural underpinnings of the heart-brain interplay during duration perception.

Commenting on the award, Dr. Arslanova wrote "I am incredibly excited because the three years offered by the fellowship will help me establish my own independent research program into time-awareness and how it is shaped by our bodies. And whilst I already use EEG in my research, the fellowship will allow me to conduct an fMRI study. So, I am really looking forward to using all the resources provided at CUBIC (Combined Universities Brain Imaing Centre) to make this possible."
