A Taste of Physics

Wondering what a day in the life of a Physics student is like? Longing to get hands-on in a Physics lab and discuss world class research with experts? Want to see one of the most beautiful University campuses in the UK? If yes, then this Taster Day at Royal Holloway has it all. This is a one-day session for students who are thinking of applying for a Physics degree at university. It includes lab practicals, tutorials, lectures and tours. You will find out about the latest developments at the LHC at CERN from researchers who lead groups working on the experiments there and you will have the chance to visit our Low Temperature facility, home to internationally acclaimed research. You will also have the opportunity to ask our admissions tutors any questions that you may have about the UCAS process, talk to current physics students over lunch and take a short tour of our beautiful campus.
