We are proud of these results as we believe they showcase not only the breadth of research we undertake and the energy we put into it, but also how it has made a difference in society - and how we can pass on the benefits of all of that to our students through our research-led teaching.

Head of Department, Prof. Ruth Livesey, had this to say on the results: ‘We are so delighted to see the exceptional quality of the critical studies, novels and poetry written by members of our department acknowledged in this way. Our writing wants to reach out and change how people see the world around them and that is what brings us together as a community of critics, novelists and poets.’
