The poor voter turnout of young Brits can be explained by the delayed transition to adulthood, says new research from Royal Holloway politics expert Kaat Smets. And as early voting behaviour trends set the pattern for life-long voting, Dr Smets says it is not likely that current low levels of participation will see an improvement.

Professor of German's lifetime achievements recognised by major award

Description
Professor of German W. Daniel Wilson has been awarded the Reimar Lüst Award for International Scholarly and Cultural Exchange, in recognition of his achievements in research and teaching. The prestigious award carries a prize of 60,000 Euros.
