Visit us - campus tours
If you cannot make one of our Open Days, why not take a campus tour instead? These are held every Wednesday at 2pm, lasting an hour, and start at the main reception in the Founder’s Building where you will need to register with reception staff upon arrival.
Tours give you the opportunity to take an informal look at our campus guided by a current student, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Tours usually take around one hour and provide a real insight into student life because you’ll be able to see where our current students study, learn, eat, socialise and live.
Our Wednesday campus tours will strive to give you as much of a comprehensive view of our facilities at Royal Holloway as possible. During your tour, you will be given the opportunity to view:
A student flat as one example of Royal Holloway's accommodation.
The Chapel (time permitting)
Founder’s Dining Hall
A lecture theatre as an example of teaching space
Please note: campus tours will give a general overview of the campus and differ from an Open Day. It is not always possible to show student accommodation on the tour due to limited availability. Only one accommodation room will be available to view, if possible, on the day due to time restrictions. Not all specific academic departments will be visited for each individual degree. However the tour will consist of a taster of an academic teaching space. If you wish to visit a specific academic department, it is advised to contact them directly to organise a meeting before or after the tour or come to an Open Day. If you are visiting out of term time, please be aware that not all facilities will be open and campus will be quieter than usual.
If you would like a complete overview of all the facilities and accommodation at Royal Holloway, it is advised that you attend an Open Day.
If you would like to attend a campus tour, please complete the enquiry form. We will be in touch to confirm your booking, though please allow 48 hours for us to process your enquiry.
Please contact the Student Recruitment & Partnerships team before you travel for any updates and last minute cancellations.
You can also show yourself around the campus at a time that suits you, such as weekends, if you cannot make one of our Open Days or a campus tour. If you are driving, you’ll need to obtain a parking permit from the Security Office located opposite reception.
