  • Date23 October 2018

Prof. Chris Hanretty, Head of the School of Politics, International Relations and Philosophy, has won a Philip Leverhulme Prize.

Each year the Leverhume Trust awards up to thirty such prizes to researchers "whose work has already attracted international recognition and whose future career is exceptionally promising". Prof. Hanretty is one of four winners in the field of politics and international relations.

The prize, worth £100,000, will enable Prof. Hanretty to spend 2019 - 2020 working on the analysis of voting power, and in particular how often different demographic groups have a decisive influence in electoral outcomes.
