REPLAY Festival 2019

As a soloist and chamber musician, internationalist pianist James Kirby performs regularly throughout the UK and Europe. His recital work includes appearances at major concert series in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Holland, the Czech Republic, Bermuda, Hong Kong and Malaysia, and in the UK at the Wigmore Hall and the Edinburgh and Aldeburgh festivals.

We welcome James back to Royal Holloway this year for Beethoven’s mighty Piano Concerto No. 5, 'Emperor'. Under the helm of Rebecca Miller and Postgraduate Orchestral Conductor Thomas Search, we will also be treated to Emilie Mayer’s Faust-Ouverture and excerpts from Khachaturian’s popular Spartacus Suites Nos. 1 & 2. This is not to be missed!

There will be a 20-minute interval during this event. Refreshments will be available to purchase in the Windsor Building Foyer.

This event is part of REPLAY Festival 2019, a three-day, biennial festival of music presented by the Department, showcasing some of the best and most innovative modern, world and classical music at Royal Holloway.
