Autumn is a time of change for many and here at the School of Business and Management, we are delighted to welcome four new faces to the school.
Nceku's interest in management and organisational studies is driven by the effort to fill a gap, particularly of knowledge that is deemed invisible or silenced. Questioning a range of topics of organisation theory such as leadership, ethics sustainability and race, Nceku strives to reveal, recover and expose these different voices of knowledge to be made visible and enrich our knowledge of organisation and management studies. His approach draws not only from the management sciences but also from a vast range of subjects including psychology, sociology, critical theory, African philosophy, history and cultural studies.
Sebastian Tideman - Accounting and Financial Management
Sebastian will be joining the School as a research-based lecturer in the department of Accounting and Financial Management. His research focuses primarily on the intersection of financial accounting, CSR, and gender, with the application of textual analysis to these areas. Sebastian's recent work includes undertaking a project where he explored the questioning behaviour of analysts during earnings conference calls and investigated how this is affected by gender, for both the analyst enquiring, and the CEO fielding the question.
Yiannis Anagnostopoulos - Accounting and Financial Management
Yiannis joins the School as a senior lecturer, teaching accounting and finance, where he works closely a range of stakeholders to achieve high quality degree content. Yiannis draws on a variety of experience having previously worked for various UK based universities, as well as holding managerial roles in both the public and private sectors, focusing on financial forecasting and preparation of budgets. In addition to his research interests of financial regulation, corporate governance and forecasting & valuation, Yiannis has a keen interest in pedagogic research, to maximise the effectiveness of teaching and to meet our student's educational and career-related goals.
Thomas Quinn - Accounting and Financial Management
After graduating from Georgetown University in Washington, Thomas joined professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he remained a partner until 2015. His areas of focus included accounting & finance, raising capital and public company reporting. Since retiring from PwC, Thomas has since lectured at the University of Hertfordshire and here at Royal Holloway, principally on financial management, accounting, and business strategy.
