Professor Paul Layzell pays tribute to HRH the Duke of Edinburgh

Following the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Professor Paul Layzell, Principal of Royal Holloway, University of London, has today paid tribute.

“We are extremely saddened to hear of the loss of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.

“It was our honour and my personal privilege to host Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Holloway on their most recent visit in 2014. He was a tireless servant for the nation and his death will be mourned by the students, staff and our wider community at Royal Holloway, University of London.

“We offer our deepest condolences to a family who have lost a loved one.”
