Royal Holloway Swimming Club makes history with English Channel swim in aid of charity
Description
A team of nine students from Royal Holloway's Swimming Club have made history by completing the cross-channel swim as the largest ever relay team to accomplish the challenge. Regarded by many as the 'Everest of swimming' the team took just 12 hours and 28 minutes to reach France and raised an incredible £3,000 for charity in the process.

An expedition team led by Dr Alasdair Pinkerton, a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London and Dr Noam Leshem, a political geographer at Durham University, will travel 6,000 miles from Nomansland, England to No Man's Land on the Egypt-Sudan border.
