Nishall Garala - Business and Management

Degree programme: BSc Business and ManagementNishall Garala

Year of study: First

Why did you choose to study at Royal Holloway?

I chose to study at Royal Holloway because of the fantastic community atmosphere and the great innovative way of teaching at the School of Management. I also looked closely at league tables for both the university and my course and forums online. Also I chose to study at Royal Holloway because seeing Founder's Building on a daily basis made me a very happy person!

What do you enjoy most about Management?

The Management department is incredibly joyful and welcoming, with a great staff and student community. Lecturers are always around to help with any problems you might have. Also rather than just sitting and making notes in lectures, we are able to respond to questions using clickers making a much more dynamic learning environment.

What is your favourite thing about being a student at Royal Holloway?

My favourite part of being a student at Royal Holloway is the international scope the university has, which allows me to embrace new cultures, and learn new things about other countries.

What is the student life like?

Taking part in various societies has been a very adventurous experience; I've met so many new people and gained skills to boost my CV at the same time! Also the university is based in a excellent location, because you are a short train ride into London Waterloo, but you are far enough out that the university still has a countryside feel to it, as well as having both Windsor Great Park and Virginia Water to explore.
