What is intercollegiate accommodation?
Royal Holloway has access to small number of rooms in Intercollegiate Halls. Located in central London these properties are managed by the University of London. As the number of places is limited, intercollegiate accommodation is available on a first-come-first-served basis to full-time postgraduate students only.
For full-time postgraduate students studying at Royal Holloway in the 2024/25 academic year, information will be coming soon on which Intercollegiate Hall they will be able to apply for, what the contract dates will be and what the accommodation fees will be. For guidance, for 2023/24, we offered intercollegiate accommodation in Handel Mansions comprising single, self-catered rooms with shared facilities on 50-week contracts (17 September 2023 to 31 August 2024). Prices started from £234.78 per week.
When can I apply?
Applications for Intercollegiate Halls accommodation for 2023/24 are now closed. The application process for the 2024/25 academic year will be published on this web page, when it becomes available.
Please note that submitting an application for intercollegiate accommodation is no guarantee that we will be able to make you an offer.
When will I hear on the outcome of my application?
Applications will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis, and you can expect to receive an update within four weeks of submitting your application. In the update we will let applicants know whether they can expect to receive an offer of intercollegiate accommodation, or if their application is being held on a waiting list.
