Allan Kellehear

Allan Kellehear, PhD, AcSS., is the author or editor of over 20 books including: Compassionate Cities: Public health and end of life care (Routledge 2005), A Social History of Dying (Cambridge University Press 2007) and most recently the co-editor with Libby Sallnow and Suresh Kumar of International Perspectives on Public Health and Palliative Care (Routledge 2012). He is an Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Dr Kellehear is Professor of Community Health at Middlesex University, London, UK. He was previously Professor of Sociology at the University of Bath in the UK (2006-11) and Professor of Palliative Care at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia (1998-2006).
