A Royal Holloway first: Kate Leonard awarded Senior Fellow status by the Higher Education Academy

Kate Leonard, Programme Director for the Graduate Diploma in Children and Families Social Work at Royal Holloway, has been awarded the prestigious Senior Fellow status by the Higher Education Academy.

The Higher Education Academy is an independent national organisation set up to champion excellent learning and teaching in higher education. The scheme recognises the commitment of higher education professionals to the student learning experience and Kate is the first Royal Holloway staff member to receive the award.

An experienced social work academic and practitioner, Kate is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Professional Studies (Health & Social Care) here at Royal Holloway.  Her research interests include critical reflection and decision making in children and families social work, service user involvement and applying arts based methods to learning in health and social work.
