Disclaim a publication

Sometimes Royal Holloway researchers have external collaborators with similar names to members of College. Where such people also publish jointly, an external author may be incorrectly identified in Pure as a similarly named member of staff. If this happens a publication may appear in Pure and on the staff profile page which is not related to the author.

If a name has been wrongly added to a publication, the output can be disclaimed. Log on to Pure and open the Research Outputs list. Scroll over the publication that needs to be disclaimed, and a cog icon will appear next to the publication on the right.

Click on the cog icon and choose option Not mine – disclaim content. A message to the Editor can be added or just click on the button Disclaim this content.  Instead, an administrator will check all disclaimed outputs on a regular basis and will remove the name from the author list.
