Royal Holloway is committed to conducting research that has international scale. This is achieved through network of researchers engaging with, and leading projects with, international research teams.
The Royal Holloway Global Challenge Strategy sets out our support for working on research projects that have direct in-country benefit for the world’s poorest countries. We are supporting interdisciplinary teams in the areas of sustainable development, sustainable societies, human rights, impact chains.
A sample of projects shows how we engage globally. Professor Katherine Brickell is examining modern slavery in the Cambodian construction industry; Professor Jay Mistry is examining Guyana’s conservation policy while Professor Paul Fraser researches tubers and root crops in Nigeria.
