PhD project: The effects of vehicle automation on situation awareness in drivers of different ages

Applications are invited for a three-year PhD studentship starting in September 2014. This exciting project is funded by the ESRC through the South East Doctoral Training Centre and by Transport Research Laboratory. It will investigate the impacts of vehicle automation on drivers’ situation awareness. The position includes a stipend of £17,863 per year (subject to ESRC residency requirements), tuition fees at the Home/EU rate, and a research training support grant of £750 per year.
