Hispanic Studies Student/Staff Research Forum

25/01/2012 (13:00-14:00)

All interested undergraduates, postgraduates and staff in the School are warmly invited to come along on Wednesday 25 January from 1-2pm to hear about some of the research activity that is going on in Hispanic Studies at Royal Holloway. Refreshments will be served.

Any queries, please contact Dr Sarah Wright

There will be two speakers: Dr Tyler Fisher, Lecturer in Hispanic Studies, who has recently joined us from the University of Oxford (Tyler researches in Golden Age Spain and early modern literature, the Spanish Inquisition, popular piety and devotional verse and twenty-first century Spanish microficción) and Alexandra  Hibbett (who is a PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London and is currently convening Spanish II at Royal Holloway. Her research is on contemporary Peruvian narrative, and looks into the theme of time and memory in novels that engage with the political violence that took place in Peru during the 1980s and 90s).
