BA Film, Television and Digital Production

Studio-9101When you study for the Single Honours BA in Film, Television and Digital Production (formerly known as BA Media Arts) at Royal Holloway you’ll be undertaking a unique degree, which combines in equal measure theoretical analysis of the screen arts with practical courses that explore the creative and expressive potential of sound and moving images.

Teaching

Our staff are internationally-recognised for their expertise in the wide range of subject areas on offer through our course units. You’ll be taught through a mixture of formal lectures, small group teaching and individual tutorials, which means you’ll benefit from close daily contact in your learning. We ensure that an excellent staff/student ratio is maintained, which ensures a clear focus on the intellectual and creative needs of our students.

Practical elements of our BA Film, Television and Digital Production

During your practical units, you’ll progress from working in teams to making your own individual creative work in your chosen course options. You’ll learn from staff who are active practitioners as well as a number of visiting lecturers from the Industry. 

Our excellent facilities and equipment can be accessed 24/7 (so you can pursue individual projects outside of your studies too) and you’ll be guided by dedicated technicians who can offer insight and expertise across the whole spectrum of contemporary media practice and theory.
