Another Successful Exploring Maths Conference

The School of Mathematics and Information Security welcomed 400 Year 12 pupils from 42 schools to Royal Holloway University for Exploring Mathematics 2017.  The students were greeted by the Principal, Professor Paul Layzell. There was a wide variety of talks exploring the fundamentals of mathematics as well as the connections of mathematics to music, juggling (by Dr Colin Wright), financial markets, and cryptography.  The Further Mathematics Support Network held a session for teachers.  At lunch time there were guided college tours.
