Best symposium nomination for Dr Eivor Oborn

A symposium Dr Eivor Oborn (with B. Landis, M. Barrett and M. Kilduff ) contributed a paper to (for HCMD/MED division of the Academy of Management, Montreal, August 2010) has been nominated by the AOM Health Care Management division for the Emerald Best International Symposium Award. The symposium lead was L Fitzgerald, and its title was "A Passion for Making a Difference, Perspectives on Knowledge Exchange".

Eivor (and colleagues M. Barrett at Cambridge University and E. Davidson of Hawaii University) has also been invited to present at the prestigious INFORMS 2010 conference in Texas. This paper invitation was extended by Information Systems Research (ISR) journal based on a paper ‘Building Unity in Diversity: Electronic Patient Record Use in Multidisciplinary Practice’.

She was also invited as a speaker at an ESRC seminar series in February 2010, at the University of Birmingham, on collaboration in the public sector. She was asked to present findings from a recently accepted paper on public administration with colleagues M. Barrett (Cambridge University) and Dr Mark Exworthy (RHUL).
