Professor Clive Gamble has been appointed a Trustee of the British Museum

Posted on 20/10/2010
Professor Clive Gamble has been appointed a Trustee of the British Museum, Britain's most popular cultural attraction with over 6 million visitors a year. The Trustees of this world museum are responsible for over seven million objects that cover all of human history from the Olduvai stone tools, 2 million years old, to today's credit cards on display in the gallery of Coins and Medals. The museum is over 250 years old and during this time Clive is only the second trustee, Sir John Evans being the first, to bring Palaeolithic and Quaternary expertise to the Board.
