The latest results published in the Times Good University Guide place the Royal Holloway in the top ten of UK Geography Departments for employability. Using official statistics from HESA, the Times Good University Guide for 2013 ranked Royal Holloway 10th out of 72 UK Geography Departments (up from 13th in 2012.)
The measure used by The Times Good University Guide is focused on high quality employment prospects, basing its table on the percentage of graduates who take up graduate-level employment or further study within six months of graduation. In the latest available dataset for the graduates of 2010, 69% of our students were in this category - performing well above the majority of other Geography departments in the Russell and 1994 Groups of leading universities. Of Geography departments in our home labour market of London and the greater South East, only the LSE, Cambridge, Oxford and UCL had higher rates of graduate employment on this measure.
