Indeed, recent graduates have secured positions with Amec Foster Wilson, Arup, Atkins, Awe, Buro Happold, CampbellReith, CH2M HILL, EDF Energy, Elmbridge Borough Council, Entec, Environment Agency, Golder Associates, GroundShaw, Health Protection Agency, Hyder, Jacobs, Kent County Council, Leap, Lucion, Mouchel, NPL, NRM, Ofgem, PDE, Royal Geographical Society, RPS, Springhead Trust, Shell, SITA, SLR, Solarcentury, Syngenta, Thames Water, TT Environmental, UNDP, URS, Veolia Environment, Worley Parsons, and WSP.

Graduates are also very well prepared for environmental research leading to the award of a PhD from RHUL and other leading national and international universities, and to pursue careers as research scientists in industry, research institutes and academia.

“The EDM MSc course provides a broad range of skills that equips environmental scientists for their onward careers.  This includes developing technical abilities in environmental science, and transferable skills such as project management and team working. The summer Research Project is an excellent opportunity to conduct relevant scientific research while serving as a platform to work in the environmental industry and to network with potential future employers."
Michelle Lewis, Environmental Consultant, Arup

“The EDM MSc offered by RHUL was ideal as it offered everything I needed. But to be honest I was a little sceptical that it could address such a broad subject in detail.  However, what materialised was considerably more than I could have hoped for.  During interviews for a consultancy position that I secured soon after the course, and several times since, my colleagues and peers have positively remarked on the course for its application to a career in environmental consultancy.  I was also very fortunate that the EDM MSc was so diverse and broadly applicable as it gave me the opportunity to change my career path from environmental consultancy to PhD research. In the current economic climate, a strong and content rich MSc such as EDM will give you a distinct advantage."
Sinbad Sweeney, PhD Student, Imperial College London
