Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Distinguished Professorship

Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Distinguished Professorship  awarded to Prof. Martin Menzies by the President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The award recognises Martin's contribution to Chinese Earth Sciences over the last twenty-five years, in particular his pioneering work on the temporal evolution of the North China Craton. During 2014-2015 the CAS chair will launch a joint research venture between Earth Sciences  and Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, underpinned by CAS funded Chinese doctoral students who will be jointly supervised by academic staff at both institutes.
