Written by Martin Sherman - Directed by Toby Vaudrey
Set in 1934 Germany, the play follows the life of Max, a gay man living in Berlin who lives a life of sex, cocaine and alcohol.
His life is turned upside down under the Nazi regime and the death of Ernst Rohm.
BENT raises the issue of homosexual persecution, not only under Nazi rule, but as a general overarching and ongoing problem. Identity is something we must all hold on to in order to stay sane. BENT manages to highlight the importance of pride, dignity and love, even in the extremes of the human condition.
Tickets: £5 adults / £4 students / £3.50 Student Workshop members
