Located in the technical wing of the Katharine Worth Building, the Media Studio offers a space for students to create, edit and perfect a wide variety of digital multimedia for use in their live performances, installations and other projects.
Each workstation is equipped with copies of SCS (Show Cue System) for the creation and editing of audiovisual production cues, Adobe's Audition and Premiere (both CS5.5) for audio- and video-manipulation respectively, and has access to a large on-site sound library and shared 'media drives' (as well as students' personal Y: drive) for secure data storage.
A variety of other DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), such as Reaper, Logic, and Audacity, are available for use for sound design and editing. More software in Adobe's Design/Production Creative Suites (such as Photoshop and InDesign) are also available for use at the discretion and advice of the Digital Media Technician.
Independent work in the Media Studio is supported and supervised by the department's Digital Media Technician - to book a timeslot in the Media Studio, please contact email@example.com.
