Applicant Visit Day

Welcome to Law, Criminology and Sociology

Our Visit Days are exclusively for applicants who have received an offer to study at Royal Holloway. They offer a unique opportunity to come and see the College for yourself. You will have a chance to meet our students and teaching staff, and get a taste of what university life is really like. You are welcome to bring a parent or friend with you.

A Visit Day is your chance to:
  • Visit the our Department and find out about our broad range of courses.
  • Take a guided tour of the campus, including halls, with a current student.
  • Attend talks on the Students' Union, student finance and student accommodation.
  • Look around the historic Founder's Building
  • Receive a taster seminar given by academic members within our Department.

During our Visit Days staff run a series of taster sessions on a range of topics including the law of rape, the law of murder, the criminalisation of porn, risk, terror and insecurity, prisons, youth music and subculture and the world of heroin and crack cocaine user-dealers. These taster sessions are designed to showcase the multitude of fascinating topics on offer through the School of Law.
