Winners of Best Cyber Security Education Programme 2017

Royal Holloway has won the award for the Best Cyber-Security Education Programme at SC Awards Europe 2017.

The award category includes all cyber security education programmes throughout the UK and Europe, and is based on the quality of instruction, programmes and how well these prepare students for the marketplace.

All Royal Holloway degrees in Cyber Security are also certified by GCHQ. The MSc in Information Security received that certification in 2014, and was one of only four UK universities to receive that certification; the MSci in Computer Science (Information Security) received provisional certification in 2016, and was one of only two UK universities to receive that certification; and the BSc in Computer Science (Information Security) received provisional certification in 2017. (Full certification will be awarded once the first cohort graduates.)

Royal Holloway also hosts one of only two UK Cyber Security Centres for Doctoral Training (CDT).

More information about the Information Security Group, a GCHQ/EPSRC Centre of Excellence for Research (ACE-CSR), can be found here.
