Classics coursework leads to work experience

First year Classical Studies student Patrick O’Connor, who wants to become a journalist, found his coursework assignment for Individual & Community this term brought him an unexpected reward. “After finishing my essay,” he said, “my dad read it and thought it was great! He sent it to his friend who is Chief Editor of The Guardian, who thought it was a really good bit of work and offered me a few days of work experience! Thankyou for setting such a good piece of coursework. I felt really good writing it and it seems like it showed!”
