A familiar face on television as ITN’s evening news presenter, Mary Nightingale first made a national splash as the presenter of ITV's Wish You Were Here...? from 1999-2001. She was already well-known as the co-presenter, with Alastair Stewart, of London News Network's flagship London Tonight and as the sole presenter of London Today. In 2002 and 2004 she was named Newscaster of the Year by the Television & Radio Industries Club. At 52, Mary is currently the oldest woman network newsreader on British terrestrial television and recently wrote an article on this subject for The Guardian.
