Creative writing (fiction), specialising in the literary thriller. Four novels published, most recently, 'When Nights Were Cold' (Mantle, 2012) about female mountaineers at the turn of the twentieth century. Previous novels set in contemporary Japan and the UK. She has also wrote 'Remembering Emily Wilding Davison', a short story to commemorate the centenary of her death.
