Developing our campus

Investment programme to enhance our campus

We have been developing our historic estate to provide a 21st century campus that meets the needs of everyone studying and working at our university today and in the future.

Through a series of investments to improve the student experience, including a £57m library and student services centre, Royal Holloway has risen five places to become a top 20 UK university in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020. We recently opened our new world-class superconducting nanofabrication facility, SuperFab, as well as a new state-of-the-art science building, the Beatrice Shilling Building

Find out more about the nature of our potential development projects. During 2019 we held regular consultation events where we shared our plans to develop our estate.

Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 all capital projects and planned construction work at Royal Holloway have been suspended. Once this period of uncertainty is over, we will update the local community on any plans to develop the university’s historic estate.
