Entrepreneurship
We provide a range of services for students who wish to:
- Start a business, social enterprise or charity
- Become more enterprising and entrepreneurial
- Enhance their employability with enterprise skills
You can find out about some of the students who we have helped to start businesses whilst studying at Royal Holloway by viewing our
Student Businesses page, or listen to
podcasts of successful entrepreneurs who have given talks at the College.
Student Societies
If you are interested in entrepreneurship or employability, the first thing you should do is join a student society. The Careers Service supports two societies which specifically foster entrepreneurial activity: Royal Holloway Entrepreneurs and SIFE. The Students' Union also supports a wide range of societies, many of whom engae in entrepreneurial activities of their own.
Enterprise Lab
Enterprise Lab provides one-to-one business guidance and incubation services. If you wish to speak to a consultant about an idea you have, take advantage of free office facilities or discuss how you can become more enterprising, then contact the Enterprise Lab.
Competitions
One of the best ways to become more entrepreneurial, or raise funds for a business or social enterprise you are starting, is to enter competitions. Every year Royal Holloway students win thousands of pounds in prizes - so find out about competitions you can win today!
Enterprise Training
We offer a range of free training in enterprise skills. These range from experiential boot camps which help develop you as a more confident, entrepreneurial person, to department-specific workshops and one-off events.
