Calls to charity have increased dramatically as lockdown continues. The uptick in calls is in keeping with surgest in domestic abuse incidents, and is expected to continue as the UK begins the slow move back to normality, as reported on Refinery29.

Department of Law and Criminology academic Dr Aislinn O'Connell was quoted in the article, pointing out that the laws around sharing of intimate imagery are insufficient.

Her work forms part of the Rights and Freedoms research cluster, and stems from the Human Rights and Women's Lives event held by the cluster in 2018.
