Tell us about your career path since graduation. How did you end up where you are?
While at Royal Holloway, I managed the university TV station RhubarbTV, taking pride in leading a strong live broadcast team and producing large scale live events. My love for media has springboarded me into the realm of multi-camera video, from producing and shooting podcasts for the likes of Jack Whitehall’s family, to running large scale live streams at festivals and events across the country. I’m proud to be part of the Royal Holloway family! Every year, I come back to the Media Arts department to run multi-camera broadcast productions to continue sharing the valuable experience I gained.
What was it about your time at Royal Holloway that has most benefitted your career or influenced your path since graduation?
Through extracurricular societies like RhubarbTV and Insanity radio, I had amazing opportunities to really get stuck into what I love outside of my course.
What would you say to potential students considering studying at Royal Holloway? / What advice would you give to students thinking about a career in your sector?
Try everything! Learning Film and TV at university is the time to really experiment and learn a wide range of things, allowing you to specialise into topics you really love. You’ll gain so many opportunities by just saying ‘yes’ to that extra project, shoot or activity within the Media Arts Department.
What did you love most about your time at Royal Holloway? / What's your favourite memory of Royal Holloway?
The thing I enjoyed the most would have to be the campus life. The atmosphere at all times of day is great, and you really feel like you are part of a safe and welcoming community.
