Get a feel for life at Royal Holloway on one of our Open Days. Look around campus, meet our students and teaching staff, and experience university life through talks, taster sessions and tours. Our Open Days are lively, interesting and informative.
As well as Open Days, we offer a range of tours, courses and visiting days so you can get to know what it’s like to study and live at Royal Holloway.
Once you've applied for a place here, you'll be invited to an Applicant Visit Day to get a closer look at your chosen department and life as a Royal Holloway student.
Find out why The Times and the Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2019 have ranked us a top 25 UK university.
We'll be holding two more Open Days on Saturday 28 September and Saturday 19 October, bookings will open for these in early Summer.
Open Day FAQs
Where can I park my car?
Parking is free for all guests at the Open Day and we will be operating a park and ride service. This will be allocated to you if you indicated in your booking form that you will be driving. You will be sent a permit in the post, one week prior to the event. If you told us you are travelling with public transport and would now like to drive, please contact us so that we can allocate you a space and send a permit.
How do I get to Royal Holloway from the train station?
Our nearest train station is Egham, from which we will be running a free shuttle bus to and from campus throughout the day.
Do I need to print my ticket?
You don't need to print your ticket, simply turn up on the day and we will look up your ticket by the name you booked with.
Do my guests need tickets?
No, you won't need to book separate tickets for your guests. Do bring along any friends or family who you would like to share the day with, but please note that in some of our busier talks we may have to implement a one guest per visitor system.
Where can I see the programme for the day?
Our programme for the Autumn Open Days will be released shortly on this web page. It's a great idea to plan your day and have a think about the talks and zones you would like to visit, but don't worry as you do not have to book any sessions in advance.
