An Orchestras at Royal Holloway Event
In these trying times, our Director of Orchestras Rebecca Miller and our orchestras at Royal Holloway have sourced creative and innovative ways to bring the art of orchestral playing, the conversations surrounding this form of music, and the people who specialise in it, to our students and the wider community. We are thrilled to welcome a host of international artists to virtually meet our orchestra members and talk about important and sometimes little-heard aspects of orchestral playing.
For this latest edition, the orchestras will be hosting an insightful discussion panel session with industry professionals on Racial and Cultural Diversity in Classical Music. The session will be led by our Director of Orchestras, Rebecca Miller, a selection of our Orchestral Scholars and confirmed guest speakers include Chi-chi Nwanoku OBE (Chineke Foundation), Clifton Harrison (Kreutzer Quartet), Deborah Keyser (Ty Cerdd) and Kieran Jones (Young Classical Artist Trust).
