Simulation game: Jeremy Iles and Barbara Brayshay developed a learning resource, The Selection Matrix Game, complete with a bespoke deck of cards. The game encourages participants to reflect on how to select interviewees for an oral history project, and the challenges of ensuring interviewees come from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Throughout the project, we shared updates on work in progress via our project blog. Here, you can find commentaries on all our witness seminars, reflections on the practice of oral history, introductions to particular topics linked to the environmental movement and reflections on the experiences of interviewers and summarisers who have worked on the OHEM project.

Interview Archive: The OHEM project created a unique archive of 100 ‘life story’ interviews with UK environmental campaigners working in many fields, from conservation and transport to energy and climate change. This archive, containing in total over six million words in audio and transcribed form, is available for study in the sound archive at the British Library, along with materials from witness seminars.

Audio clips: 267 extracts from the full Interview Archive, in the form of audio clips with extended transcripts, are freely available from the Royal Holloway online data repository Figshare. The book of the project, Voices for Change, draws extensively on these extracts, with direct hyperlinks to the audio clips.
