Royal Holloway were big winners at this years RTS London Student TV Awards, scooping 3 awards in total and several Special Mentions. Judges described many of Royal Holloway’s student entries as ‘broadcast ready’.
Route 23 won both BEST WRITING (Joshua Shea) and the top award for BEST DRAMA. The film, about a bus driver who finds the courage to fight for a bus route threatened with closure, was described by one juror as "a dose of pure joy". Congratulations to the whole team Joshua Shea (Writer/Director), Kirsty Hawkins (Producer), Elisha Hunter (Editor) and Olivia Mooney-Griffiths (Director of Photography).
In These Fields won BEST CAMERA WORK (Amy Howes with Eleanor Partington-Lane producing), plus a special mention in the DRAMA Category. The judges commented that each shot looked like a Constable painting.

Alex Fusco got a Special Mention from the judges in the SHORT FORM FACTUAL category for My Sweet Burden which he directed.
