Our recent visit to Athens was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our alumni community in Greece. We hosted a very enjoyable alumni gathering at the rooftop bar of the Athens Gate Hotel, where we were joined by Royal Holloway graduates from a wide range of disciplines and career paths.
The evening was filled with lively networking, reminiscing about time spent at Royal Holloway, and conversations about alumni achievements since graduation. Guests enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and forming new connections, with stunning views of the Acropolis providing a memorable backdrop to the evening. As one attendee reflected, “there’s something special about swapping stories and networking while looking out at the Acropolis… it was the perfect reminder of how strong and connected our alumni network truly is.”
Professor Christos Tsinopoulos, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, and Janice Rodrigues-Mendes, Head of Philanthropy were delighted to meet with our graduates and hear about their lives since leaving Royal Holloway.
Professor Tsinopoulos Christos shared an update about the recent faculty changes and news from Royal Holloway, including an update about the Hellenic Institute. Janice welcomed all our alumni and reminded them of the benefits of our alumni community and building on the connections made with alumni following the 2025 trip. She talked about the Global Future Leaders Scholarship: Greece and about our Global Alumni Networks. Reflecting on the evening, another alumnus described it as “a wonderful event bringing together RHUL alumni in the heart of Athens… with great conversations and the chance to reconnect through our shared university community.”
