Royal Holloway is set to host the Runnymede and Spelthorne Volunteer Awards, in partnership with Voluntary Support North Surrey (VSNS), on Tuesday 9 June.
The ceremony will, once again, be held on the University’s Egham campus. Recognising the work of volunteers in the local community, these awards also commend wider social action projects and volunteering carried out by student volunteers at the University. Previous years’ events have seen more than 300 guests in attendance.
Award categories include the Outstanding Social Action Award, Outstanding Community Action Award and the Outstanding Community Partner, given to a local community partner who have gone above and beyond to offer volunteers new opportunities this year.
Luke Russell, Volunteering Manager at Royal Holloway said: "The Runnymede and Spelthorne Volunteer awards are an excellent example of the lasting collaboration between Royal Holloway Volunteering and Voluntary Support North Surrey.
"It's always wonderful to see the amazing volunteering taking place at Royal Holloway by both our students and colleagues. These awards are a chance to celebrate this work alongside the vital contributions of our local community. As a University of Social Purpose, we will continue to highlight the fantastic volunteering work taking place and the real impact it makes on our community."
