Royal Holloway was delighted to welcome Bishop Richard Moth, Bishop of Arundel and Brighton, to the University Chapel on 5 October to celebrate Catholic Mass for the start of the new academic year.
The service, organised by the University Chaplaincy team, was a joyful occasion that brought together students, staff, and members of the local community. Bishop Moth was joined by local parish priest Canon Chris Spain, Catholic Chaplain Philip Fellows, and members of the Catholic Society for an uplifting service that marked the beginning of the new term.
The Chapel was well attended, with many local residents joining the congregation and enjoying the opportunity to take part in worship within the historic surroundings of the University Chapel. The Chaplaincy team expressed their appreciation for the strong community presence, which continues to be an important part of Chapel life at Royal Holloway.
The University’s Chapel is also a venue for performances by the renowned Choir of Royal Holloway, whose music enriches campus and community life.
