One scholarship is available for a new full-time Masters students from Iran. It has been established to recognise the education, advice and assistance received by Katayoon Behboodi from the Department of Mathematics at Royal Holloway. 

Am I eligible?

  • Iranian national with permanent residency in Iran
  • Offer to study one of the following postgraduate degrees: 
    • MSc Physics by Research
    • MSc Information Security
    • MSc Electronic Engineering by Research
    • MSc Engineering Management
    • MSc Computer Science by Research
    • MSc Energy Geosciences
    • MSc Finance
    • MSc Corporate Finance
    • MSc Accounting and Financial Management
  • Achieved, or be on target to achieve, a First Class Honours degree or equivalent.

How do I apply?

Use our applicant portal to apply. The deadline is 11.59pm (UK time) on Friday 14 June 2024.

Read the application guidelines below to make sure you include everything you need. 

We'll let you know from Monday 8 July 2024 if you've been successful. 

You must provide a supporting statement of no more than 400 words which should include: 

  • A brief summary of your background and academic achievements you are particularly proud of
  • Why have you chosen to do the degree you have applied for 
  • What your future aspirations are and how the scholarship will help you to achieve your future goals.

Your application will be scored based on how effectively your statement answers the above.

Applications which exceed the word count will automatically be rejected.

We will also ask to see a copy of your Iranian ID (if this has not already been submitted during your application for your degree course).
