Postgraduate scholarships

Below is a list of the scholarships available to students applying for postgraduate degrees at Royal Holloway. Please check the individual scholarships to see if applications have opened for 2021 entry.

If you're applying for a research degree, there are specific scholarships available.

Royal Holloway graduates who apply for a postgraduate course automatically receive a 15% discount on tuition fees for the first year of study (excludes students who receive the Principal's Masters scholarship). There is no need to apply.

Royal Holloway students graduating in 2020 will automatically receive 33% off tuition fees for selected Masters courses starting in 2020.

If you have graduated from another University of London institution you can receive a 10% discount on tuition fees.

Masters students studying a degree within the Department of History with, or expected to achieve, a First Class degree or equivalent. Read more.

Students applying for selected degrees within the departments of Business and Management, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Electronic Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics and Physics. Read more.

Students applying to degree programmes within the Hellenic Institute - MA History: Hellenic Studies and MA in Late Antique and Byzantine Studies. Read more.

This prize is for a new full-time student studying MA in Crusader Studies. Read more.

Two scholarships are available for postgraduate courses in English for students who have achieved, or are expected to achieve, a 2:1 degree. Read more Read more.

open to a new full-time or part-time student from the UK, applying for one of the following programmes and expected to have achieved, or are on target to achieve, a 2:1 or higher. Read more.

One scholarship is available for a new full-time postgraduate studying for a MMus in Music, who has achieved, or is on target to achieve, a First Class Honours degree. Read more.

One scholarship is available to a new full-time postgraduate studying MA Holocaust Studies who has achieved, or is expected to achieve, a First Class Honours degree or equivalent. Read more

One scholarship is available to a Home/EU or International student studying MSc Mathematics for Applications or MSc Mathematics of Cryptography and Communications. Read more

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is available to one student from an eligible Commonwealth country applying to study MA Politics of Development from 2020. The scholarship is jointly funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom and the university.
