Research Interests:
Professor Satya R Shah’s research operates at the intersection of Intelligent Systems, Industry 5.0, and Digital Transformation. The core focus is on how advanced digital architectures can be leveraged to optimise complex engineering, supply chain, and systems to drive operational flexibility, socio-economic resilience, circular and environmental sustainability.
- Industry 5.0 & Cyber-Physical Systems: Developing frameworks for integrating IoT, smart sensors, and automated technologies into legacy industrial environments.
- Digital Transformation & Innovation Management: Investigating the systemic impacts of digital disruption, fintech integration, and edge technologies (e.g., drone delivery architectures) on traditional business models.
- Intelligent Decision-Making Frameworks: Utilising multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), AI, ML, and Big Data to optimise demand forecasting and logistics risk-ranking under uncertainty.
- Agile & Engineering Project Management: Assessing effective digital project management practices to enhance lifecycle efficiency and team output.
- Sustainable, Circular and Green Engineering & Supply Chains: Designing circular economy models to reduce carbon footprints and optimise resource allocation in high-exposure sectors, such as manufacturing, automotive, construction and retail sector supply chains.
