Research Interests:
I am a development economist who uses field experiments (RCTs), lab-in-the-field experiments, and behavioural games to study political and social behaviour in low-income and fragile settings. My research examines the drivers of conflict and radicalisation, the political economy of natural resources and the resource curse, corruption and accountability, forced displacement and refugee integration, and how information spreads through social networks and the media. A current strand of my work looks at political misinformation in the Global South. I welcome PhD students interested in working on any of these themes and in the wider political economy of development.
