Happy new year! Whether you have just joined the Royal Holloway community, or you are returning to campus after the winter break, I hope you are feeling rested and you had an enjoyable time.

Term two starts tomorrow (9 January) and over the next few weeks we have lots going on for new and continuing students across both our Egham and London campuses.

At the start of the new year, it’s important we continue to all look out for each other. If you are worried about your wellbeing (or another student’s), please contact our Wellbeing team, or come along to one of the Wellbeing events being held on our Egham and London campuses in the coming weeks.

On Wednesday (11 January) you will have the opportunity to speak to different members of our Wellbeing team for specialist advice at our London campus in Beveridge Hall, Senate House between 10am-4pm. Our Money Support Advisors will also be on hand to offer advice on budgeting and tips on making your time at university as financially stress-free as possible.

I’m delighted that for those on our Egham campus, we will be continuing to offer you all a free breakfast boost during term time. You can grab your piece of fruit and muffin in the Emily Wilding Davison building, Monday – Friday between 8-10am. Please don’t forget that you can all also find a wide range of support and advice to help you navigate the rising cost of living and the challenges it may bring on the student intranet.

Enjoy your first week back!
